As a professional dancer, coach and instructor, I have a passion for fitness and helping find the hidden potential in individuals. My career in dance helped open doors to many opportunities in the fitness industry. These opportunities have led me all over the country, teaching a variety of group fitness formats as well as building a career in personal training along the way.
During my career as a dancer, I looked to strength training not only as a supplement to my dance training, but as an escape from the stress of a career as a performer. I began experiencing chronic injuries, stemming from the muscular imbalances created by ballet and the constant wear and tear that comes with the art form. I grew up as an avid runner and group fitness junkie, but never took the time to experience the benefits of following a strength program. At a point when my injuries and stress with dance became too obvious to ignore, I dove head-first into a consistent strength training routine. Utilizing simple, functional movements, my chronic injuries began to melt away as my body became more balanced and conditioned. Since then, this side passion of fitness has become my full-time career. My goal is to expose as many people as possible to the benefits of strength training and to help individuals create a healthy relationship with their bodies.
Movement is a gift. . .and I enjoy helping others stay in motion!
